Anti condensation coating \u00a0– always dry surfaces<\/h1>\n

    An anti condensation coating will help to solve the following problem:<\/p>\n

    Condensation of water occurs, when humid air gets in contact with a cold surface. Everybody, who wears glasses knows this problem, when entering a warm room from the cold outside. The glasses get covered with dew water very fast. The visibility is impaired.<\/p>\n

    Condensation can mainly be found in housing (bad insulation) and in the food industry. In the latter the combination of very humid interior air and often old infrastructure leads to condensation. Cold pipes in a humid environment can also be a problem.<\/p>\n

    The result of condensation is in most cases mold. There are three requisites for mold:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • spores in the air (which is normal)<\/li>\n
    • nutrition for mold (which can be dirt, plaster, fibres etc.)<\/li>\n
    • high local humidity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      If those three conditions occurs a the same time at the same place, then spores will germinate and mold will grow.<\/p>\n

      If only two conditions occurs, spores will not germinate and mold will not grow. Applying the anti-condensation coating will keep a surface dry – no mold can occur.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/section><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

      A calculation tool<\/h2>\n

      There is a simple calculation method to determine whether the application of an anti-condensation coating is appropriate.<\/p>\n

      The calculated fRsi value is a measure of the quality of the existing thermal insulation. The lower this value, the poorer the insulation. Poor insulation can lead to condensation, which in turn can lead to mold.<\/p>\n

      Now measure the following temperatures in situ and calculate the fRsi value:<\/p>\n
